Teeth
Today was a pretty good day. I took Olivia to her first story time at the library and she really like it. We sang, played some bells, and heard a story. Olivia got really fussy this afternoon and I finally felt her lower gums and sure enough, 2 little hard buds have poked through! I'll try to post some pictures and videos tomorrow.

I've watched this lots of times for some good laughs!!

Now I kind of want a pair. They do look comfy.
Also, if you're interested in saving money on groceries, I should share this site with you: The Grocery Game. I've been doing this for almost 2 years and have really been able to save a lot.

Prize in sight
When she sets her mind on getting to something, Olivia doesn't let anything get in her way. I had set up a barrier of chairs and an end table to block her from getting to my craft basket so I could keep it out. When I was holding her earlier and digging in it, she spotted a gray plastic bag she just had to have. It's pretty cute, but also irritating.
She is crawling faster and more confident each day. She has eaten and conquered liking mashed peas. She loves peaches, prunes, and sweet potatoes. I think she has gained a pound or two in a week since she started eating 2-3 meals, on top of nursing, a day. She even has one little thigh roll on each side:)

Lately our life has been a little crazy. I'd love to think of myself as a consistent person, and even though I thrive in a structured environment, I don't have that character trait. So, as much as I'd like to post every day, be on time everywhere I go, and have dinner ready by 5:30 every night, it's just not in me right now.
Here are a few things that have happened in the last 12 hours:
Olivia woke up screaming b/c she had finally gone #2 (after 4 days, at 12:45am.) The aroma filled her entire room and I had to wake Bill up to help me change her. And it took 30 minutes.
I've done 2 loads of laundry.
I clean a house on Tuesday mornings and I take Olivia with me. She was so busy and wouldn't/couldn't miss anything to take a nap, so she's just now taking her first nap of the day, and was so tired it took her an hour to fall asleep.
I made chili yesterday. Bill called me today during lunch and said he had accidentally grabbed the pyrex container of diced tomatoes instead of chili for lunch and even got as far as heating it up before he realized what he had. I told him to just add some salt and pepper and they should be just fine. Guess I'm kind of ornery and he's going to be hungry when he gets home.
On a happier note, our friends Chuck and Ambre had their baby Saturday! Jolie Renee is healthy and beautiful.
Friday I really wanted to go to Busch Gardens. Bill wanted to do something together, so we both got what we wanted. Sort of. It was freezing and also raining. So, we got completely soaked and were so cold. We shared a brisket platter from Trappers Smokehouse, walked around a little, and got hot chocolate. Although we enjoyed each other's company and had some great conversation, we were miserable. Olivia was a champ, but she was dressed appropriately and was covered from the rain in her stroller. This picture was taken when we got home. She was the only one still smiling.
Saturday our church gave their volunteers an appreciation picnic. It was also freezing and very windy. I had to leave early with Olivia and this was taken on our way home.
Despite all I just wrote about, we are really enjoying being married and having a baby!

A successful feeding
In order to make last night's feeding go more smoothly, I switched a few things up. Her rice cereal is thicker, warmer, and she's sitting in her seat for the first time. She also ate peaches for the first time, and they are a new favorite. She ate everything I gave her and attempted to clean out the bowl too. What a relief this is going better!

Olivia is obsessed with cords, nobs, buttons, electronics, and bath water sounds.
New things:
New things:
- She has reached out to be picked up
- She has pulled herself up to standing in her crib
- She has been sleeping much better through the night
- Throws huge fits when we put her in her carseat
- She says ba ba over and over and today she started saying ma ma ma ma
- She's crawling EVERYWHERE and fast, too
I've been enjoying her so much. She loves to read/eat books, be thrown up in the air, and drink water from her sippy cup "all by herself." She laughs, talks, and sings all the time, although her singing voice sounds a lot like Scuttle the seagull from The Little Mermaid. She's currently feasting on cherry puffs.
