So excited Grandpa and Grandma Sprouse are here for the weekend! This means new toys and tons of attention!

Grandma Sprouse fed Olivia her first sweet potatoes tonight. It's the only food she's enjoyed yet.

A visit from a friend

I hadn't seen Laurie since before Olivia was born! It was so nice to catch up and for she and Olivia to meet.

We've been very fortunate not to have to buy Olivia any clothes yet. However, I couldn't pass up these tights that were on clearance at Baby Gap. They go great with her jean jumper from Grandma Sprouse! She's very proud of herself as she learns how to get around even more each day!

I started running the water to do a load of laundry and, thinking she was getting a bath, Livie came barreling around the the couch. Bathtime is her favorite part of the day. I staged the taping for the second time, so it's not quite as dramatic, but it still made me laugh to see her peek around the corner. She knows when she's on camera.

My friend Carla came to visit yesterday and I got out of cutting Olivia's nails again! Yea!

Our friends Robby and Suzanne just had a baby 2 weeks ago. Peyton is beautiful and tiny:)

6 Months Old Today

Olivia is sporting an outfit from Great, Great, Aunt Loie in CA. She had her 6 month well baby checkup and she's doing fine. She's 27 inches long and 14 lbs, 10 ounces. She cried for a minute during her shots, but was smiling by the time the bandaids were put on.

Favorite deals of the week

So last week we totally scored. We walked to Dairy Queen to justify splitting a small blizzard. When we got there, we were both delighted to see they're running a special for their 23rd anniversary. Buy one blizzard, get the second one for $0.23. Yeah! No sharing.

The second deal was something I'm proud to say Bill found:) He had taken Olivia to the mall to shop for a shirt for himself and came across American Eagle and AMC's promotion. Try on a pair of jeans, get one movie ticket for free! So, I went in as well and we now have a free date to the movies (as long as we go before Sept. 21st.)

On the same trip to the mall to try on AE jeans, I brought the receipt from my Macy's purchase from last week and had it "price-adjusted" and received $23 back!!

Olivia's first swim

This is from mid July. We met our friends Robby and Suzanne and their daughter Sophia at the pool. You'll hear/see Sophia in the background of the video clip. Olivia loved being in the water. She just held tight and smiled.

What you can't see are the many smatterings of rice cereal that cover the floor! I know you're all thinking, "aren't you supposed to swipe the spoon over her face and feed it to her?" Here's the thing, she's so active that it's all I can do to keep her from squirming out of the bumbo. There was cereal in her hair, eye, ear, and toes.
