our back yard

Our "back yard" is in need of major work. In fact, it's so ugly, that I hardly ever open the curtains to see out of our 9 feet of windows. We decided a first and inexpensive step would be staining the inside of the fence. It's not our first choice in color, but it's what we used for the outside to meet "colorcodes" for our homeowners association. So, it was free and at least it is on its way to looking the same. It needs at least one more coat.

Our next step is to buy some small potted evergreens to place around our beautiful air conditioner. We may also paint the cement, haven't decided on that one yet.

Baby Sprouse is....

A GIRL!!!

We are thrilled (would have been either way of course) to now be able to call "it" a girl. We've chosen a name, but are going to wait until she's born to share it.

The ultra sound showed she is healthy and growing. I've felt her move in the last week or so, and I love it! Bill anxiously awaits his turn to feel her as well.

One Hour

In one hour, we have an ultrasound and may potentially find out what the baby is! I can hardly focus today!

Hair Oops

I got my hair cut and highlighted today (much needed-please see photo below where my hair is in the world's shortest pony tail to hide my roots and ends.)
When I got home, I pulled my bangs back with a clip and discovered a little highlight "oops". No big deal, though, because my stylist will gladly fix it tomorrow.

16 Weeks Along

These are from 16 weeks. I'm almost 18 weeks, only 2 more until we find out what gender the baby is (if baby cooperates.) I'm kind of at the point where I can't tell if I've gained healthy "baby" weight or if I've just eaten too much. I had Bill take a bunch of pictures and then I realized I had been pushing my stomach out as far as possible. So, really, when I suck it in, there actually isn't much of a difference. These are maternity clothes compliments of my sister Holly and friend Laurie:)

Our Time in the Outer Banks, NC

Lighthouse in Corolla, NC
Jellyfish!!
Nags Head Beach

On Friday morning, we decided to go overnight to North Carolina. We booked a room at an Inn, and headed out. The weather was amazing, although since I'm with child, what I really remember the most is the food. Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention that Bill beat me twice at mini golf.

Under Cabinet Lighting Wonders

Bill is adding the finishing touches to the kitchen he has installed. I've been wanting a "glow" to the kitchen and he created it for me! He also painted, added shelving, and put lights in the laundry closet as well. We've both been busy...it's amazing what a baby on the way will do for motivation levels around here. 2nd bedroom here we come!

Monday Night Ride

Don't worry--I'm just a passenger

Monday night we decided to get on the bike and ride to Yorktown beach. We watched the sunset and then had dinner at a biker's pub.

Labor Day Weekend

Bill and Chuck after a hard game of volleyball

Our church had a service, picnic, and river baptism on Sunday. It was great to be outside and really fun to be all together for the day.
