Bill's Birthday

We started the day with a morning trip to the coast. One of Bill's favorite spots is Rancho Palos Verdes, where he had a student/faculty retreat this spring. We got drinks at Starbucks and then walked along a path above the water. Olivia is enjoying her own apple juice.

Our friend Berry (a classmate of Bill's) gave us tickets to the Angels/Mariners game and watched Olivia for us as well!

We had seats in the 4th row along the left baseline. It was sooooo fun!!

On Tuesday nights, our apartment complex has a community type meal. We really love where we've landed and the people here are great!

A Day in the Mountains

Last Sunday, Bill's sister Tifiny volunteered to keep Olivia overnight for us and we gladly accepted. We got a lot of unpacking done, and Olivia was able to see her Pops a little more. We met them in Idylwild on Monday for lunch and then we just hung out around town and a nearby park.

My Dad drove the Penske truck from WI to CA with Bill last week. He also unloaded, unboxed, put furniture together, cleaned, and hurt his back. We thought we'd at least take him to the beach for an hour while he was here:) Unfortunately, it ended up being cold (60s and windy) and not so pretty. Dad, next time you come, we'll take you to a nicer beach.
