What you can't see are the many smatterings of rice cereal that cover the floor! I know you're all thinking, "aren't you supposed to swipe the spoon over her face and feed it to her?" Here's the thing, she's so active that it's all I can do to keep her from squirming out of the bumbo. There was cereal in her hair, eye, ear, and toes.

A few to wet your appetite

September is here and I'm determined to have routine in my life. I'll try to post more pictures from our trips and visitors this summer, along with more recent pictures scattered throughout.

New Costumes

So, there's a story behind these bathing suits. My friend, Claire, who is from South Africa, has been telling me for several weeks that she has been on the lookout for a costume for Olivia. This whole time I've thought she's really on top of things and looking for a halloween costume. Last week, she told me she hadn't found one yet but she really needs to. I told her not to worry about it, because I didn't think there were any costumes in the stores yet since October is still a ways away. Awkward pause. Claire, "I'm not talking about halloween! What do you call your outfit when you go swimming here?" ha ha. Funny moment anyhow. We were at the mall later that week and stopped in Gymboree and she found 2 cute costumes and couldn't decide between them, so she bought both for Olivia.

Of course, we hope to have pictures of her wearing these in WI at the lake in July and the beach here in August.
