She's finally here...after much struggling and telling herself to try, try again. We're still working on rolling from back to front, but she's really close.

A night out on the town with friends

Last night we went to a free concert at the City Center. We met Kevin, Stew and Claire, and Monique, Claire's sister who is visiting from South Africa. After the concert, we went out for gelato at Colangelo's Gelato.

Below is Olivia's favorite way of sleeping. She loves the blanket over her head! As parents, we say whatever works.

I've always wanted my baby to be well socialized and although it could be flattering that she would only want to come to me, it seems best to give her the opportunity to go to anyone. So, in my opinion, the more people who hold her and play with her, the better!

15 weeks old today

Today she's 15 weeks old! She is so much fun and is most often quite content. She loves some floor time with her Dad.

Feet Part II

She grasps everything with her hands. Today, she always had one handful of blanket, and one hand on a foot. It beats a handful of my hair!
This may be one of my favorite pictures of her yet! What a joy she is!

Air Force Retirement Party

Dennis and CJ are good friends of ours here. He is now officially retired after 24 years! Olivia came with me and really enjoyed herself.

There was quite a spread, but my favorite was the delicious chocolate cake made by "The Cake Ladies." Dennis and CJ also did things a little different and gave away prizes during the party. I came away with an 80s rock compilation CD and a gift basket of goods. This is my kind of party!

Feet

She found her feet yesterday. I found her trying to stuff her left foot in her mouth too! Now that she constantly reaches for them or holds them, it makes changing her diaper much easier!
This was taken at 7:00am this morning. I fed her at 6 and then brought her down to the kitchen so I could eat cereal and check email. Bill left around 5:30am for a 3 day camping trip in the mountains (Babcock State Park in WV.) He took his motorcycle and his BFF Mike from WV is meeting him there and bringing him a sleeping bag and a few other bigger things so he doesn't have to pack them on his bike. So, this picture below could be the cause of several things:

• Daddy's gone and I'm going to miss him
• I REALLY want that cereal mom's eating
• I have been in this swing for over 4 minutes...get me out!
• I'm an easy baby and this is me saying "I'm ready for my morning nap."
  

Tuesday was another day spent at Busch Gardens! She is such a trooper. She loves to people watch!
Last night, our friend Ben graduated from the Police Academy here. It was neat to watch, although I had to miss the pinning due to Olivia's froggy squawking. Below is Ben, his daughter, Jayna (from our community group) and us.

Introducing Addie Anne

Jon and Holly had their baby Tuesday at 11:29am. She weighs 7 lbs and 3 oz and is 20 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing well!! Of course, we're dying to get to WI to see her, but will have to wait another month.

She loves to have a blankie in the crook of her neck and one to chew on. Lately, she has been sleeping with a light blanket over her head and if we don't put it there, she'll pull it up herself.

Tia and Uncle Ecky visit from CA

Olivia loves her Bumbo! Tifiny and Esteban came for a few days and we had a great time together. It was great for Olivia to finally meet Uncle Ecky.

Tifiny gave Olivia a new pink bubble suit for the summer. Olivia also got a bathrobe because she loves baths so much!
